Review of The Kite Runner

Kite Runner (4/10)
By Jose Tomas Barrena on September 23, 2007

"The Kite Runner", is a book written by Khaled Hosseini, the same one that written "A thousand splendid suns" and the "And the mountains Ecloed". The Kite Runner  is starred by Amir and Hassan. This two guys are friends that live in Afghanistan during the Soviet Union invade in 1979. Amir is a boy that comes from a very powerful family. That's not the case of Hassan, apart from not coming from an accommodated family he is from another ethnic group. He is a Hazara.

In my opinion it is not a nice book in the way that show to many horrible things to little boys. It's fine that we can imagine does things in Afghanistan, but in this case we can imagine does problems.

The author, Khaled Hosseini, was born in Afghanistan. He know very well how the boys live in Afghanistan with all these problems. He move out of his native country (Afghanistan) to go to France and then he finally move to the US. Now talking about the book, someone can said that the author is crazy writing does things things or chaotically acts that appear in the book. This rare things affects Hassan, this episode, leave Hassan very bad psychologically speaking. Probably, you have never read books of this author, I would not recommend. But if you want to read his books, you would definitely not understand very well the book.
